Starting at the end of Coaching lane in Brownsville, this route offers a shorter and more gentle approach to the summit of Mount Ascutney. Off of this wide, well worn logging path are several side trails for mountain biking and horseback riding, most of which all return back to the main trail. The Bicentennial trail becomes narrower and less maintained as you climb. It ends at its junction with the Weathersfield trail just above the west peak vista. Pay close attention to this junction as there is no sign and can be easily overlooked on the short return from the summit.

This is my favorite MTBing spot, worth the drive, wide range of trail difficulties, lots of up and down, lots of fun technical challenges on the difficult trails. Natural beauty is very good with water falls, fern fields and overlooks. Trails are well maintained, bermed up nicely on down hill runs, and flowy throughout.
